My Main Channel: Striker

About Striker

Created on July 5, 2018, Striker is my main channel and the one that I am most active on! The main form of content on the channel is live streams, which usually involve me doing some kind of challenge or marathon of Nintendo games. (because just playing them normally is borrrring) I am in love with the Let's Play style of content, probably because I'm stuck in the past, if that wasn't evident already with this site's design. The only thing is, I hate editing, like, despise it, so actual videos are uncommon. Also, I actually have a list of games that I wanna play on my channel before I go on a streaming hiatus due to college. I'm open to suggestions!

Below are some of my favorite series I've done on my channel!

100% Completing Every Mario Game (ongoing)

This series is pretty self-explanatory: I must 100% complete (meaning collecting and doing EVERYTHING possible) every single mainline Mario Game, from Super Mario Bros. on the NES to Super Mario Wonder on the Switch!

The series was started on August 1, 2023 and has changed quite a bit since then. Originally, the goal was only to 100% complete every 3D Mario game, (just 64 to Odyssey) in a time limit of 1 month. (all of August) However, somewhere around episode 40, I changed the rules to what they are today: 100% complete EVERY mainline Mario game, (both 2D and 3D) without a time limit. However, due to the rules changing, it can be a little confusing if you hear me refer to "time running out" or "every 3D Mario game" in some of the early streams. Just keep the rule change in mind and it should make sense.

One cool thing about the series is that everything has been played on original hardware—no emulation! I've only had to use my Switch, 3DS, Wii, and Gamecube! (because it has the gameboy player adaptor) Thank goodness for compilations like Super Mario All Stars and Super Mario 3D All Stars, or else I'd have to buy a LOT more stuff.

100% Completing Every Zelda Game (ongoing)

Like the Mario series, this series is also self-explanatory: I must 100% complete (meaning collecting and doing EVERYTHING possible) every single mainline Legend of Zelda Game, from the original on the NES to Tears of the Kingdom on the Switch!

For a long time, I had always wanted to do a series like this, but it only officially begun on April 1, 2024. The series started as a RUSH AGAINST TIME, because I had just realized only a few days prior that the challenge would be impossible after April 8th. Why? Well, Nintendo was going to shut down the 3DS's online servers on that day, which would mean Triforce Heroes, a multiplayer Zelda game, would be impossible to 100% complete! Luckily, I managed to finish all of the multiplayer aspects of Triforce Heroes with less than a day to spare with the help of some amazing gamers.

You can track my progress towards 100% completing every Zelda game via this fancy document!

Pokémon Living Origin Dex (ongoing)

I've always been a fan of the Pokémon series as a kid, but this series takes it to another level. Started on January 12, 2024, The Pokémon Living Origin Dex challenge is a challenge where I try obtain, you guessed it, a living origin dex! But what is a living origin dex, exactly? Well it's as "simple" as this:

  • -Catch ALL 1025 pokémon, including all 250+ alternate forms, 57 regional forms, and 200+ gender forms, for a rough total of 1500 mons.
  • -Each pokémon must be caught in its home region. For example, a Gengar would only count if it was caught in the Kanto region (so Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Let's Go Pikachu or Let's go Eevee would be the acceptable games)
  • -Trading is prohibited for the challenge with the acception of unlocking trade evolutions and trading for unobtainable pokémon, like some of the mythicals.

Hopefully that made sense. It's basically a living dex with extra steps.
This series has been interesting because I've been racing against the closure of the 3DS online services and the impending closure of the Pokémon Bank app, which is neccesary to transfer Pokémon from the 3DS to the Switch. One last thing, you can actually track my progress towards catching 'em all via this site!

Coming soon...
