About My Music
I think my music fits neatly into the category of "Geek Rock" due to my songs' subject matter (really anything besides romance) and use of synthesizers in tandem with traditional rock instruments. Something along the lines of Tally Hall, Lemon Demon, Smash Mouth, and Weezer.
When it comes to technicalities of my music, I use a ton of VST plugins in FL Studio instead of real instruments, because I lack both the money and the knowledge on how to properly record myself. Usually, the only "real" instrument in my music is my voice, recorded on a Shure SM7B Microphone!
My biggest struggle in music-making is writing lyrics. Most days I can just sit down at my computer and pull half of a song out of the folds of my brain, but when it comes to lyrics, it usually takes me an entire month just for a single song's worth. Due to this, I usually work on 5 songs at once, so when I get writer's block on one of them, I can switch to the next. Unfortunately, that causes me to be notoriously bad at meeting my self-imposed deadlines...
What I'm Working On
I've already started work on my next album! Shhhh, I can't reveal too many details yet. But, since you're here, I'll let you know that it will be another concept album! It will be about CRYPTIDS (think like bigfoot and mothman and whatnot) and will be mostly folk rock. I plan for the album to have 13 songs. (because 13 is the spooky number) Progress has been going well, and as of today, July 31st, I am already (somehow) finished with the lyrics and instrumentals for 10 songs!!!
Latest Release
My latest release is Surface of the Sun! An 8-song rock concept album about a group of astronauts tasked with reigniting the dying sun!
